The <a class="link link--text" href="https://cdn.tbmm.gov.tr/KKBSPublicFile/D28/Y2/T2/WebOnergeMetni/e50ccc8a-ab90-45fa-a553-76b880c78fb8.pdf" rel="external">Proposed AI Law</a>, which appears to be modeled after the <a class="link link--text" href="https://artificialintelligenceact.eu/ai-act-explorer/" rel="external">EU AI Act</a> that took effect in the EU on August 1, 2024, was submitted to parliament on June 1, 2024. In this article, we will summarize what we find to be the significant differences between the Turkish proposal and the EU AI Act, and what gray areas and opportunities this law might create.</p>
